Marianna, the director of our school has two children with special needs. When seeking aid to help educate her children she found educational opportunities were not available to children with special needs in Honduras. She traveled to Tegucigalpa where she put her children in school and went through training to work with special needs children. She has now opened a school for children with special needs such as kids who are deaf, blind, or suffer from Down Syndrome.
Here, Marianna and her family delicately work with these precious children. They equip them with sign language and other life skills so they have the ability to survive in an already difficult society. They also experience the passionate love of Jesus and learn that despite their handicaps, God has a wonderful plan for their life!
