In 1964 the Cruzadas Mission was started by Sister Jean Isbell, a single mother of three on the Island of Roatan, Honduras. Cruzadas Mission has grown to 200+ churches, 5 feeding kitchens in garbage dump communities and impoverished areas, and Medical Missions for the poor.
The future of Honduras is the future of these children. Cruzadas Mission reaches out to impoverished communities and children that are in need of food, medical care, and spiritual help. Our prayer is that no child in Honduras goes without the food and nutrition they need to feed their little bodies.

We started out as a ministry reaching out to women on the Island of Roatan in the year of 1964. Today this ministry has grown immensely and is reaching out to impoverished communities throughout Honduras.
Many children in Honduras need food. Our feeding kitchens are a huge part of what we do. Our weekly feeding programs give impoverished children the food and nourishment they need.
Cruzadas Mission runs a home for endangered girls, operates a school for special needs children, and leads medical and dental clinics. Through the power of Christ we are striving to fill the spiritual, physical and medical needs of the people of Honduras.
In recent years Honduras has experienced very high levels of violence and crime. Violence reached a peak in 2012 with an average of 20 homicides a day. Cities such as San Pedro Sula and the Tegucigalpa have registered homicide rates among the highest in the world. As of 2014, there were approximately 600,000 single mothers causing many children to grow up in homes without real stability. 24% of pregnancies occur with teenagers. Many of these pregnancies occur with much older men. Violence against women ranks among the highest in the world.
63% of Hondurans live in poverty, threatened by violence and made ill by contaminated water. According to the United Nations, 1 in 5 Hondurans survive in extreme poverty with less than 2 dollars a day. Here you will find that the poorest of the poor make their homes on the outskirts of garbage dumps.
While these statistics show the struggles of Hondurans, Cruzadas believe Jesus is the solution to this nations struggles. The people here are receptive to the Word of God. In fact, they hunger for it. We pray for Honduras. We pray that God will intervene and meet the needs of the people who have been suffering for so long.
We believe the Gospel Crusades of Honduras is the tip of the Spear reaching out to the people of this broken nation. Jesus calls us to go and make disciples, to minister to the needs of the down-trodden and to share His love. With the support of partners like you Cruzadas is able to reach the children and impoverished of Honduras.
