Gospel Crusades of Honduras

Cruzadas History

Founded in 1964, The Gospel Crusades of Honduras is a non-profit organization whose main mission is to spread the message of Jesus Christ and meet the needs of the poor and suffering in Honduras.

Our Sister Jean

Jean Isbell founded the Mission in Honduras in 1964. She was a single parent with three children
without support of any established denomination. The original work was started on the
southeast side of the island of Roatan in the village of Oak Ridge. Sister Jean, as everyone called her went to train a small group of ladies who were not aware of what the bible had to say in regard to them and their families. She had no church or home to
to stay in, and only $75 a month to feed her family. Her oldest son was 14 years old and her two daughters were 12 and 10 years old. Her children took correspondence courses in order to fulfill their school requirements in the USA, so they could be on the mission field with their mother.

Where We are Now

After 27 years of service, Sister Jean went to be with the Lord in 1991. Her son, Dan Isbell, became the President and leader of the mission. Today, Cruzadas Honduras Mission has grown throughout the country of Honduras which includes;

1. 200 churches, most of these are located in poor regions along the northern coast and in the mountains and jungles of the interior sections of Honduras.
2. Started bilingual schools.
3. A school for handicap and deaf children.
4. 900 children being fed weekly, depending entirely on monthly donations.
5. We have completed over 25,000 medical treatments each year for over 28 years.
6. We have drilled and provided water wells for many in the jungles and we also provide purification systems
for entire villages.
7. Construction projects throughout the country building clinics, schools and churches.
8. Church Planting
9. Evangelism training programs.

Our ministry is constantly growing and evolving as new needs arise due to our ever expanding reach. What started off on one island with Sister Jean Isbell and a small group of women has done the seemingly impossible with the help of supporters like you.
